Duke Borel was the guild second of the Warriors Guild and the head of House Hendrake, an exception to the Chaosian tradition to separate powers between the houses and the guilds. Borel trained Dara in swordplay.

Duke Borel was elected King and declared war against Amber. Corwin killed him during the final battle of Pattern Fall.
