- The “AD&D” run from Cobalt arrives at the Abyss, guided by Ingold.
- Ingold uses Pattern to bind every demon within two miles of the Abyss with pattern chains.
- Stormy rescues Ilk, who finds out his cousin Vlad is presumed dead (several witnesses) and Ilk is now head of House Cara
- Cathryn returns, and fights with a redheaded, Pattern-wielding imposter to Jesby in the council chamber in Thelbane. Dara assists the imposter. A pile of white dust is left behind.
- Houses Major and minor Houses in Chaos are attacked.
- Several House heads are missing.
- House Cara is infested with small black demons that appear from corners and multiply in the presence of the Logrus. Vlad, the House Second to REN and titualur house head, is showing up in small pieces pattern-stapled to things around Chaos and the Black Zone.
- House Jesby and its ways are “no longer contiguous with the Courts”
- House Sawall and its holdings are set on fire.
- Damia introduces herself to Random as “Paulette”, his mother (and technically Queen in Amber).
- “rioting” demons begin to appear in the Courts of Chaos, followed by a massive invasion of heavily armored blue demons.
- Malachai acts as Regent of Amber, and proposes to Serena.
- Zach, Auricle, and Theraat loot Rhiannon’s magical laboratory and home, then travel to Amber.
- Zach and Auricle encounter white dust, and hear of its effects on people, and hear that it is similar to the dust associated with Gwen statues.
- Cathryne finds the (real) heads of House Jesby and House Cara in the Egg-Place. (The people who run the house, not just their detached heads.)
- Clarissa arrives in Amber with Celeste, to pack up Brand’s room.
- Clarissa accidentally brings Ingold’s pattern binding stone, dragging along thousands of demons. Many melt, others die, none are happy. The “invasion” is repelled.
- The crew from Cobalt, along with Benedict, inflict great umbrage upon the Shifters Guild looking for the missing (abducted?) Carleton. Carleton is recovered, and returns to Cobalt via a ‘mandrake backpack’.
- Trialla the Shau’um brings Cathryne, Jesby, and REN (who disappears) back to the Courts, crossing the Barrier separating Pearl from the rest of Shadow.
- the undead Norton arrives in Amber, with a shambling guide and the Pig Of Plenty.
- Faythe, with help from Celeste, heals Cassandra and restores her memories.
- Cathryne is given a Jewel of Judgement by Dworkin, so that she can contact him. Ilk starts to collect Vlad pieces. Dworkin gives Ilk a pattern-staple remover.
- Titania tells Zach that refugees from Chaos have been arriving in Faerie - as long as they swear fealty to House Cara, Faerie is offering sanctuary.
Cathryne’s Pattern party
- Cathryne and Jesby return to the Courts.
- There is a question as to the House-status of House Jesby, because the physical House is missing. As are the remaining House members.
- Benedict reports that, according to a now-unavailable mage, House Jesby was kicked ahead in time
- For the first (but not the last) time, Ilk uses a barge to cross the new sea of demons pooling in Chaos.
- Snarsht, head of the Beastmasters Guild, identifies Norton as his “lost apprentice”
- Cathryne prepares to walk the Rebma Pattern, and Random invites “everyone” to her pattern party.
- Lots of people arrive at Cathryne’s pattern party, including apparent duplicates of Fiona, Bleys, and Brand. Norton is there in Corwin’s form, and responding to questions with Corwin’s knowledge. An Eric is also there.
- Cathryne receives many gifts at her party
- Norton restores the original Corwin, but later shifts into Eric with less entertaining results. (log)
- Cathryne talks with Ferethyn and Shiryu, who restore (and ward) the physical structure of her house in change for her help with the plague of identical violent demons in the Courts.
- Snarsht, Ilk, Zack, and Norton encounter Gwen’s white dust. They confirm that the dust is conscious, insane (megalomaniacal), and appears when you say Gwen’s name.
Cathryne’s Pattern party moves to Chaos
- Norton, Ilk, and Celeste get caught in a Trump trap set by Rainbow in Chaos. Darkstar is also trapped, and everyone is rescued or escapes.
- Ilk is later threatened by Rainbow for escaping, and cowers. Rainbow’s revenge will be subtle and effective.
- Norton and Ilk are attacked by a major force of House Helgram in the Courts; while fighting them, Norton beastmasters many demons into vampires, Godzillas, Mothras, Snarshts, Triallas, Erics, etc.
- Osric leaves the Fringe to look for Merlin, and meets Ilk.
- A patternless Flora arrives at Castle Amber, somewhat confused. She brings with her Gerard’s arm and threats from Oberon.
- Benedict, supported by Corwin, declares himself in rebellion against Oberon. Benedict says that he would consider it a personal slight if any of his relatives failed to support his rebellion. Benedict gets widespread, if lukewarm, support.
- House Cara and its allies attack House Helgram, and discover that Helgram has access to hundreds of thousands of mostly real troops. Norton starts a mental duel (assisted by Cassanrda) with one of the minds on the opposing side: Toram, Guildmaster of the Mages Guild. That information is ripped from their heads when Osric’s shields block the mental contact.
- After passing through a rift in the local Pattern room, Ferro encounters Hillbilly Dworkin brooding over the Variable Pattern created by that Suhuy, known as Gentleman Suhuy. Hillbilly Amber antics ensue.
- Ferro draws a pattern over the grave of Suhuy, which animates his ectoplasmic ghost.
- Caine is fighting an endless stream of locusts.
- A Flora walks the Pattern in Rebma, which rips out that which she was (with Dworkin’s help) and makes her more Flora. Corwin suspects this Flora is really Dara.
- Bellaquist (Cathryne’s mother, and the house head of House Jesby) requests extreme sanctuary from House Cara, after being threatened by the enemy and presented with Mandor’s arm (House Sawall ring attached).
Jenoir’s Elevation (vs Toram)
- Suhuy is discovered to be missing
- Jenoir is elevated to Guildmaster of the Mages Guild, after being rescued.
- Flora is rescued from Rebma, where she is trapped in a table made of solid blue ‘stuff’ inert to pretty much every power and the density and coloration of Rebman water. Much later, it will be nicknamed ‘Blucite’.
- Amber is attacked by strange blue watery things, which eat many rangers.
- Toram is defeated multiple times, although the PCs must revive Clarissa from a dessicated form apparently caused by Toram.
- Blackwand, the Morgani Weapon that Toram’s soul is fed to, has kittens. Deryhse is also implicated in the parentage. These weapons are small Morganti daggers, so black they’re pink, and somehow cattish.
- Jean walks the Primal Pattern at age five, thanks to a secret passage into Primal Kolvir and Brand’s garden of leprous frogs.
- Amber is invaded, again. This time, the invasion force is the “People Of Jade”, not-so-smart folk who can swim through rock and are swarming out of Garnath. The people are backed up by the occasional giant. Amber is defended by Chaosians (and Malachi) for a while, then Norton gets bored and changes Garnath into Spam. This blocks the invasion force, but creates a vast amount of spam.
- Cassanrda becomes the apprentice of Princess Chandra, after discovering that the Sith are a cadet (fringe?) branch of the Assassins Guild.
